Meet Janah, Kasmee & Waqiah 3/8 of the Abbycoconut family! 🥥✨ This small family business has been up and running for 3 years form the heart of Tasek Lama.

They were one of the first people to have joined the Community for Brunei family early this year. This tight knit family works together as Janah and her husband Kasmee manages @abbycoconutbn and their two daughters, Zilah & Qilah manages abbymelons! Since joining the platform they have been able to keep their business in tip top shape with orders coming in almost daily!

They strive to keep the community lively and friendly as they man their stall at Tasek everyday for all those Tasek Lama enthusiasts. Keeping the community hydrated and healthy one bottle of coconut and a bottle of watermelon juice at a time!

Brunei has just launched their National climate change policy on the 25th of July which aims towards cutting carbon emissions in half by 2035!

The Brunei National Climate Change Policy has created mitigation and adaptation strategies to be used in the short medium and long term to ensure climate change issues are thoroughly addressed.

A brilliant NGO that focuses on poverty and social issues in Brunei 🇧🇳💚 They are known for various projects that help uplift our community such as Social Kitchen! This is a continuous program where single mothers are trained beyond just cooking for sustainability in our society. They have other projects too such as the Green Exchange. The Green Exchange encourages those in Kampong Ayer to collect recyclables! $1 worth of recyclables will be compensated into 1.2kgs of rice to be given to the Kampong Ayer community!

Meet Atiqah and Zul! #Coffee enthusiasts and partners in crime behind @coldpresso.kitchen ☕ Atiqah has been running on different kinds of coffee weekly before work until Zul thought to buy their very own coffee machine to fulfil Atiqah’s coffee dreams! Furthering his coffee knowledge, Zul is now a certified barista after successfully completing a course in Jakarta. After sharing Zul’s latte art with the Instagram community, his friends and family gave them a confidence boost to share their coffee creations and open up a business ✨

Being home based and local, the pair has been serving the community with recipes dear to their heart since 2016! “Something was missing” was Zul’s initial thought until Atiqah learnt how to perfect her mother in law’s mata kuching to have with their beverages!
