A Non-Profit Organisation established in December 2009, Majlis Kesejahteraan Masyarakat (MKM) aims to assist the needy by providing temporary assistance to poverty-stricken families waiting to receive welfare assistance from the Government of Brunei Darussalam, and the underprivileged community as a whole by assisting students in schooling finances, providing monthly necessities to qualified families on a monthly basis, and running self-empowerment programmes in the hopes of breaking the poverty cycle. 

We also provide assistance to families with domestic difficulties who suffer the sudden loss or disappearance of a breadwinner.

MKM was registered as a charitable society under the Societies Act of Negara Brunei Darussalam in December 2009, and is supported by over 60 members of Brunei residents from all walks of life.

We are wholly self-funded and receive donations from our members and the public to finance our various and regular fund-raising projects, where 100% of all donations to our charitable program  go directly to the underprivileged without any deductions for ‘Admin Fees’
