Celebrating EveryBODY

“Celebrating EveryBODY” event offers a full-day experience with various educational and service workshops for participants to develop healthy behaviors towards food, exercise, and body image.

Cope for Hope is a nonprofit organization established in April 2020. It is an independent platform that serves to increase accessible mental health care in Brunei. Here are some of our past projects:

  • In conjunction with World Mental Health Day, we raised awareness on local mental health resources through our mental health care kits. We sold 671 care kits to the public and to private companies.
  • We recruited student leaders from different public and private higher institutions for a 3 day, 2-night event to learn basic mental health training and give them the tools to advocate for mental health in their respective campuses. This event was sponsored by the ASEAN Youth Forum.
  • In conjunction with Suicide Prevention Week, we collaborated with @relate.counseling to giveaway 2 counseling sessions to three of our followers who were facing barriers accessing mental health care

Cope for Hope is dedicated to increasing mental health awareness and destigmatizing mental health conditions throughout the Bruneian community. Our goal is to open up conversations surrounding mental health, increase the accessibility of local resources, and nurture a supportive space for our community through our three pillars: education, service, and advocacy.

Our upcoming event “Celebrating EveryBODY” aims to advocate for the community aged 15-to-35 years old in order to redefine health and empower participants to practice body neutrality. 

The venue will be held at Arts Centre, Jerudong International School on the June 27th, 2021 (Sunday).

The program offers a full-day experience with various educational and service workshops for participants to develop healthy behaviors towards food, exercise, and body image. 

Our main goal for the event is for participants to gain the confidence and self-acceptance to lead a healthier lifestyle.
